'WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED' A Somerset rideout. It was Somerset's regular meet and I had been informed that both Archie and Tonker were unable to attend the meet, So Archie asked if I would take charge. On the day, the weather was a little cold, but nice and sunny with no rain forecast. 'Who would have guessed?' Arriving at Banwell Garden Centre, now ready for my breakfast, 'Who would have guessed?' but already there, were Archie and Tonker. I had mentioned in the week that if the weather was good I would take a ride down to Watchet, so after breakfast and a few short words from Archie we set off down the A38. The road was good and the traffic moved well so, no stops, we went straight there and parked by the station. Mandi was on her first rideout on the new Bobber that Phil had been rebuilding from his XV1100.
'Who would have guessed?' it was all nice and shiny. Parked up and hands warmed up, we wandered round to the waterfront. I had noticed a small group of fellow bikers taking a coffee nearby. 'Who would have guessed?'
you meet the strangest people when you're out and about.

It was now all of two and a half hours
after we had eaten breakfast. So obviously it was time for Tonker to have a lunch of Ham egg and chips.

Ivor and Sylvia were with us, but decided
to take tea in a more upmarket gaff. The Homeward journey took us through Williton and Taunton. The weather stayed fine and we all had a good day out. Well.......... 'Who would have guessed?' Dave |
