Monthly Round Up, (MRU 96) - March 2026

Hello Scrumpies.

What a great weekend at the Bristol Classic show. Thank you, to Steve and the Somerset crew for leading on our stand. Thank you to all who displayed their bike. It was great to see so many other members visiting the stand over the weekend, and enjoying the show.

We’re already getting ready for the next event:

April 6th, Coleford Carnival of Transport & April Fools Run
Here’s a quick reminder of the day’s timings:
Meet at Aust Services, Severn View, M48 junction, BS35 4BH
Full tank recommended as garages near Coleford will be busy
Stands up at 9.30am
Run into the Scrumpies stand at the Coleford Carnival of Transport

This is essential as the bikes will then be registered for the show.

Renewals.
I know that many of you have already renewed. It’s unlikely that you’ll receive a form in Clatter before the end of this month. The on-line system is simple, and it works. So, please renew soon at Renewals

Membership ideas.
Mick, our National Chairman is seeking ways to grow our membership. There are two suggestions that may be proposed at the national AGM.
The first is that we allow the Vmax to become a qualifying bike. The argument is that the engine originated from the Royal Star.
The second is that we allow other makes of cruiser into the club.
I have asked the County Reps to discuss these ideas with members at the local meetings. I look forward to hearing your views.

If from outside the area please contact the local rep before attending in case of change to planned meet location/time (we sometimes do an earlier rideout instead)

July 25th, Calne Bike Meet.

July 30th-2nd August, Scrumpies Party.

August 21-23rd, C5 Rally, Pontefract.

September 20th, Fat Ladies Run.

October 11th, Scrumpies AGM and Inter County Conker competition.
Normal venue, Sutton Veny village hall.
