Monthly Round Up, (MRU 93) - December 2025

Hello Scrumpies.

I don’t know about you, but my local weather has made riding a bike a very unattractive choice in the last month.
We’ve had so much rain that the local reservoirs have filled up, from virtually empty, in record time.
So, the bike is on Sorn for a few months. I hope that the weather is treating you better. At least I get the chance to prepare and polish the bike for Shepton.
Apart from your local Christmas meals and monthly meetings, we don’t have any plans this month. So let’s look ahead to next year and our first activities.

Saturday 24th January, Scrumpies Winter Party.
Details have been sent to you all by email. Thanks for your bookings. I know that some folk have booked accommodation for Friday night as well, so this should be a great weekend. Friends, good food, dancing, and the seaside; perfect.
I have been able to arrange an extension to our booking deadline. If you want to start 2026 with a party, you can now book up to Friday 2nd January.

February 21/22nd, Bristol Classic Show.
Steve Church recently sent you the details of the show and he is looking for bikes to display on our stand. He’ll also appreciate any help you can offer over the weekend. Please contact Steve on vsoc.17.somerset@gmail.com
This is always a great show for the Scrumpies, with a lot to see. I look forward to seeing you there.

April 6th, Coleford Carnival of Transport.
Full details soon but please support our stand if you can.

July 31st/2nd August, Scrumpies Party.
I might be biased but it’s still the best event on the calendar, anywhere.
