APRIL FOOL RUN 2010 DORSET RUN TO COMPTON ABBAS AIRFIELD Well Easter was the first weekend in April this year, so it coincided with the April fool run. And the weather although sunny was cold and windy. And it had been raining for some days before. So the smallest turnout for years congregated at Tescos Blandford Forum.

After setting off we took the scenic route
through many quaint villages,
with more thatch than you can throw a lighted stick at. The result of the previous few days rain was very evident in the overflowing rivers. Eventually arriving at Compton Abbas airfield. |
