Dateline: | Easter Monday March 28th 2016 |
---|---|
Weather: | Interesting |
Venue: | Coleford Town Centre, Gloucestershire |
Mission: | Present the Scrumpies to the public and enjoy our day |
Mission Summary:
Coleford is situated in the Forest of Dean in a dip on a plateau. The weather is as variable as the date of Easter each year. An early Easter meant that Coleford started the day with snow then sleet, a great day for bikes.
Arrived at 7am to build our stand. Early support from Spatch, Linda and Kev got our gazebo ready for action very quickly. Our display provided a bright spot in an otherwise empty street. Time to grab a bacon roll and hot coffee before the Scrumpies rolled in.
Exhibitors were arriving regularly and the town filled up quickly. Our stand was still the best there. Biased? I might be…
We displayed a good selection of bikes: XV535, XV1100, Warrior, Wildstar, Trike, Dragstar and more.
Mission accomplished?
We met and entertained visitors, we laughed, we worked together, we enjoyed the Carnival. So, yes. Mission accomplished!
My thanks to all of you who supported this event,
Bunch.
