07:45 leave home, sun just coming through, clear crisp air, gorgeous views from the Severn Bridge, empty motorway!

And so began my international ride from Chepstow to the Bristol Bike Show at St Nicholas Market.

Warm welcome from Pat and crew, sun starts to shine into the narrow streets, sound of other bikes arriving.

Free parking all day, time to do some shopping in town, great food from the St Nicholas traders, more shopping (new helmet), join MAG, meet and chat with Scrumpies current and retired.

A simple, relaxed day with good friends, no politics, talking nonsense and the odd bit of serious stuff (e.g. how can I lose weight without exercise?).

Respect and thanks to all those who I shared my day with.

Aaah, this is why I enjoy biking.
