On a rather cold Saturday morning, I set of to the Bath & West Showground, to support Ivor and Archie and the rest of the Scrumpies at this year’s show. After queuing for over 40 minutes to get in, there was a lesson for me learnt there. Buy your ticket in advance! No queues to get in that way!

After finding the Club stand, easy with the Scrumpy flags flying, it heartened me to see members busy selling the club to perspective new members. Reports from Archie indicated a fair few people had filled in forms and applied for membership.

I fell in and was tasked to make the teas, a task that TC sacked me from, and proceeded to re-educate me on the delicate art. Apparently the spoon needs to be able to stand up in it!

Whilst everyone was busy doing their bit, nobody seemed to be taking any pictures for a ‘write-up’. So, I proceded to take a few of the club at work, on a well set up and run Club Stand. Well done! I would like to thank those that turned up to help and support the club, and of course, Ivor and Archie from the Somerset clan for organising it, on the first activity this year.
