Virago Star Owners Club SCRUMPIES CENTRE 17

It has been some time since the Glossies had a group ride-out.  So this was a special event for us.

A short trip to Abergavenny Bus Station for the weekly biker gathering was in order.  Stands up at 10:30 from Whitminster, heading to Ross to meet Phil and Jan.  Steve was leading his first run and did a brilliant job, good pace and kept us together.

Seven bikes left Ross and seven bikes got to Abergavenny.  For reasons best discussed over a beer we managed to arrive in two groups via two different routes.  Steve was not leading at this point so definitely not to blame.  Still, a great run through wonderful Herefordshire countryside.

We had to share the Bus Station with five large lorries.

They may have been the latest large tourers from a well known german firm but I’m not sure. 

When surrounded by bikers, image is key and street cred must be maintained.  So that’s a hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream for me please!  Love it, sticks in the beard and provides something to savour while riding later on.

Hot drinks and an opportunity to chat and catch-up finished too soon.  A simple but enjoyable ride back to Raglan where we all split up and went different ways, not all intentionally.

In summary, a hilarious ride, good company and great roads.
